This review reflects the Ringgold, GA location. My husband and I purchased a 5th wheel camper from Dunlap in October 2013. We also ordered a generator to be installed (great job) which meant we had to leave it, but it wasn't ready to be picked up when promised, therefore we had to spend the night in a hotel (unnecessary expense). When we did finally get to pick it up they had to meet us at the dealership late at night (appreciated but again unnecessary), it should have been ready when promised. The very first time pulling a camper should not have had to be at night although my husband did a great job, just nervous. They didn't go over much of anything with us other than the generator, they just left all the paper work inside the camper. There were some things we noticed the first time we slept in it that needed to be replaced (still under warranty) things that they should have caught before they even displayed the unit for sale.
This review is in regards to the Ringgold location. BUYER BEWARE. Absolutely terrible service department which lacks the necessary technical expertise nor the customer service that you would expect from OR or Jayco. The unit was purchased new from them and when returning for simple winterizing and minor warranty replacement parts it sat on their lot for 6 months. The entire time i called weekly, left messages, and even was going to call the local law enforcement authorities as i thought something happened I had to get Open Range involved and unfortunately the issues still remain. WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER RECEIVED. Take your money to a dealership that respects the customer and focuses on return business.
My wife and I recently purchased a small travel trailer from the Dunlap store! Great guys, very helpful and instructive on the whole setup and break down of the camper!!
Our experience at the Bowling Green Dunlap RV Center was very positive. Our sales representative, Ellen, and the manager, Mark, were great to work with. The price was fair, and the customer service was almost perfect. We'd shop there again.
When we took it to a dealership close to where we were camping (in late November) to have the items replaced/repaired, the camper had not even been registered with Open Range yet, therefore nothing could be ordered for replacement or repairs. As of today December 3, 2013 the camper still isn't registered therefore I am not a 'happy camper' and they still can't order the replacement parts for the repairs that need to be done. We have called numerous times and didn't get an answer and had to leave a message and then had to call back because our call was never returned. We love the camper but the office lacks attention to detail and lacks 100% customer satisfaction.
